Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes follow nights of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

He said utility staff and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
